Promoting Life Long Physical Activity @ School

This workshop will examine the barriers behind why pre-teens and teens may not enjoy exercise (and what you can do to change that). From body image and boredom to challenging what we think we know about exercise, fitness, and physical activity, teachers, parents, and administrators, alike, will benefit from this learning opportunity.  

Kathi's academic and community-based research has focused on the barriers to exercise from young to old and is able to offer insights into why some love PE (and why others would rather sit in the field making daisy chains).  

The research is clear, our childhood experiences with exercise can positively or negatively influence our decision to exercise as adults.  Why not starts kids off on the right foot!
